Journalist KJ Singh’s murder: Mohali Police release pictures of five suspects
Mohali Superintendent of Police Harbir Singh Atwal said the investigation team had questioned 70 people in connection with the killings.
A Special Investigation Team of the Mohali Police on Saturday released pictures of five individuals suspected of murdering journalist KJ Singh and his mother Gurcharan Kaur. Singh and his 92-year-old mother were found dead on September 23, but the police suspected they had been killed the night before.
Mohali Superintendent of Police Harbir Singh Atwal said at a press conference that the pictures were released after analysing the footage of several CCTVs in the locality where the journalist lived. “Out of the five men, two were wearing turbans while three have a hair cut. All suspects appear to be in their mid-30s,” Atwal said, according to The Indian Express. Atwal said the Mohali Police had sent the pictures to all police stations across Punjab.
He added that the Special Investigation Team had questioned 70 people, including Singh’s former servants and his family members like his elder brother VP Singh and nephew Ajay Pal.
