‘These adventures do not work on Mumbai’s roads’: Police fine Varun Dhawan for a selfie in traffic
The actor immediately responded with an apology, saying that he did not want to disappoint a fan.
The Mumbai Police on Thursday fined actor Varun Dhawan for leaning out of his car to click a selfie with a fan travelling in an autorickshaw. “These adventures surely work on the silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai,” the Mumbai Police told Dhawan in a tweet, and added that an electronic challan was on its way to his house.

Dhawan also did not seem to be wearing a seat belt as he leaned out of the car. “We expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar and youth icon like you,” the police tweeted. “Next time, we will be harsher.”
