Delhi: Decomposed male corpse found on Jawaharlal Nehru University campus
The corpse has been sent to the mortuary at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Jawaharlal Nehru University security personnel found the decomposed body of a man hanging from a tree inside the campus in Delhi on Tuesday. The security personnel informed the police about the corpse, that was found in the forested area of the campus, at 5.45 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Rampravesh Singh, a resident of Gopal Nagar in Delhi. Police found a cellphone, his aadhaar card, election card, a heavy vehicle driving licence and a wallet in the pockets in his clothes.
“The crime and Forensic Science Laboratory teams are investigating the matter,” IANS quoted an unidentified officer as saying. The body appeared to be “a couple of days old”, but that it would be confirmed only after the autopsy, he said.
