Uttar Pradesh gangster shot dead in Noida after a chase, two civilians injured in crossfire
A joint team of the Uttar Pradesh Police and Haryana Police had tracked down Balraj Bhati to Aghapur village.

A gangster who was allegedly involved in several robberies and murders in Delhi and nearby cities was shot dead in Noida on Monday morning. Balraj Bhati had a bounty of Rs 2 lakh for his capture, according to the Hindustan Times.
In a joint operation by the Special Task Force of both the Uttar Pradesh Police and the Haryana Police, Bhati and two accomplices were chased to Aghapur village in Noida’s Sector 41 where the former was shot dead. An officer of the Noida Police, Swetabh Pandey, said his accomplices fled the site of the shootout.
Two civilians – a man and a boy – and two constables of the Haryana Police were injured in the shootout.

“Our team had very credible information on the movement of Bhati, and this helped us corner him,” said Saurabh Singh, the officer in charge of the Haryana Special Task Force. “It is major success as he was one of the most dreaded criminals and had been evading the police for long time.”
Inspector general of the Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force Amitabh Yash said the teams had recovered one carbine and a pistol from Bhati.
