A cameraperson working with Jammu and Kashmir’s Department of Information and Public Relations died on Saturday after a vehicle, which was part of Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta’s cavalcade, had an accident.

At least three other officials were injured after the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a canal in Gangyal area of Jammu district. The injured were being treated at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu, Greater Kashmir reported.

“Anguished to learn about the tragic demise [of] Suram Singh, cameraman with DIPR, who died in a road accident in Jammu today while on duty for coverage of official function of Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta,” DIPR Jammu and Kashmir said in a tweet.
