Five men allegedly sodomised a 17-year-old student with an iron rod in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Saturday. No arrests have been made yet.

The incident took place on Thursday when the Class 12 student was returning home after leaving his motorcycle at a repair shop in Modinagar, PTI reported. The five men “dragged the teenager inside a shop and sodomised him”, Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna said. They inserted an iron rod in his rectum when he resisted.

The accused also allegedly filmed the act on a mobile phone. The men also robbed the teenager of Rs 1,600, said the police. They have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

In his complaint, the boy’s father said that the men had been harassing his son for long. One of the accused is the son of a police head constable, he claimed.
