Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government of trying to impose its ideology on the people of the country. Referring to incidents such as the Dadri lynching, Gandhi said that a communal frenzy is being created, innocents are killed on rumours and intellectuals are targeted under the Bharatiya Janata Party rule, which is threatening the democratic and social fabric of the country, reported PTI.

Gandhi also hit out at Modi for failing to fulfill the promises made by him to the people, especially concerning farmers, women and youth. She attacked the prime minister over rising prices of essential commodities, including vegetables and pulses, saying that the life of common people had become difficult. The third of the five-phase Bihar assembly elections will be held on October 28.
