Cricketer Amit Mishra has been charged with assaulting a woman in Bengaluru in September. The woman has alleged she was verbally and physically assaulted by the legspinner in a hotel room on September 25. The Bengaluru police have summoned the bowler and ordered him to appear in front of the investigating officer within a week, according to a DNA report.

A copy of the FIR has also been sent to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
