Writer and director Atul Sabharwal’s debut short Midnight Lost + Found is finally out on the internet. The beautifully written and performed film makes good use of its single location (a medical store) where Arvind (Deepak Dobriyal) reads Batman comics on the night shift behind a safety grill. An unnamed prostitute (Geetika Tyagi) becomes his regular costumer, stopping by for condoms and conversations, and love follows. The film has been shot by Vikramaditya Motwane, four years shy of making his debut as a director with Udaan. Sabharwal went on to direct the acclaimed television series Powder in 2010, the feature film Aurangzeb in 2013, and the documentary In Their Shoes in 2015.
