Actor and model Milind Soman is set to host an upcoming adventure reality series that will also highlight the ill-effects of smoking, according to a report in The Indian Express. Titled I Can, You Can, the series will feature contestants journeying to the Everest base camp in pairs. While one in the pair will be an active smoker, the other will be a non-smoker or someone who has recently quit. The show hopes to encourage the smoker to quit the habit.

The show has been produced by BBC Worldwide India and will be available for streaming on the video-on-demand platform Viu from December.

Like most adventure shows, the series will comprise physical and mental tasks that will test the contestants’ strength, intellect and will power, The Indian Express said.

Soman was reportedly chosen as the host because he was an active smoker who quit to focus on his fitness. In 2012, he ran 1,500 kms in 30 days to raise awareness for environment protection, and became a Limca Record holder in the process. In 2015, he completed the Ironman Trialthlon, considered to be one of the world’s toughest races.

The actor had also participated in the third season of adventure reality TV show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. Soman most recently appeared in Raja Krishna Menon’s Chef, starring Saif Ali Khan and Padmapriya.
