Can death and comedy go hand in hand? It can, suggests Harsh Chhaya’s upcoming film Khajoor Pe Atke, starring Vinay Pathak, Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa.
Pathak and Pahwa play brothers who land up in Mumbai when they learn about their seriously ill brother. Hilarity ensues after his health neither improves nor deteriorates. The film, which has been writing by Chhaya, comes in the wake of Rajesh Mapuskar’s Marathi movie Ventilator (2016), which also features a bickering family that gathers around a comatose relative in a hospital.
Also starring Seema Pahwa, Dolly Ahluwalia and Sanah Kapoor, Khajoor Pe Atke will be released on May 18.
