“Everything happens when it is destined to happen,” Naseeruddin Shah’s character tells his family in the trailer for Sudip Bandopadhyay’s Hope Aur Hum.
Shah’s character is the head of the Srivastava family that comprises five others: his sons (Aamir Bashir and Naveen Kasturia), his daughter-in-law (Sonali Kulkarni) and his grandchildren (Kabir Sajid and Virti Vaghani). Each of the three generations grapples with their own troubles and Shah’s character has the same advice for them all: “Whatever be the problem, we must face it with courage. If you’ve made a mistake then it is you alone that can rectify it.”
Hope Aur Hum will be released on May 11.
