“Hope takes us forward. We should either kill the fear that threatens our hope or turn it on its head,” Jiiva’s voiceover booms as robbers with gorilla masks rob a bank in the teaser for the Tamil film Gorilla.
Written and directed by Don Sandy (Mahabalipuram), the film also stars Shalini Pandey, Yogi Babu, Satish and Rajendran. The film will explore the bank robbery movie like no other Tamil film, Sandy told Times of India in an interview. “It will be an out-and-out comedy where the lead cast heads off to loot a bank,” Sandy told the newspaper. “They all have a short flashback as to why they are doing it, too.”
The film has been produced by All In Pictures. The release date is yet to be announced.
