Watch one Indian American (Aziz Ansari) mock another (Bobby Jindal) on TV
Some people might feel Bobby Jindal is funny enough in his own right.
Still, when Aziz Ansari, the Indian-origin American comic impersonated the Republican Presidential aspirant and Governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal – an American who often appears embarrassed about his Indian origins – on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, it was funnier still.
Introduced by Fallon as one of the nine Republican candidates for the nomination who are polling at "2% or lower" Ansari's version of Jindal explained how his support has increased from 1% to 2% which is a whopping 100% increase and a "game changer."
Just like the difference between 1% and 2% milk, leading to his new campaign slogan, "Taste the fat."
An ardent liberal, Ansari took potshots at Jindal's stand on global warming, saying he doesn't believe in science and adding that things like photosynthesis were "ludicrous." He tore into the Republican frontrunner Donald Trump as well, claiming that his own campaign budget was lower than the amount spent by Trump on his “Make America Great Again” hats.
Ansari's new show Master of None has just been released. He later sat down to chat about it with Fallon, explaining why his real-life parents were cast in his new comedy to play his screen parents.
