If you've ever had to deal with the embarrassment of sending your email to the wrong person, Google's new email feature seems built for you. The search and email behemoth is now offering an "undo" button, allowing you to cancel an email that you've sent and send it out to the right address. The feature has actually been around in Gmail, through its experimental Labs options, but after six years of being in there, it will now become a standard part of Gmail.

To enable this feature, you need to go to the little cog icon in the upper right-hand corner and select “Settings.” About a third of the way down the page you’ll see the “Undo Send” section. You can choose between 5, 10, 20 and 30 seconds as duration to put your email on hold. Hit “Save Changes” and voila! You are all set. In Gmail's new app, Inbox, you instantly get an undo pop-up button after you have sent an email. Once hit undo within the set duration, you can actually save yourself from having sent your ‘weekend holiday plans’ to your boss instead of your friend, among other embarrassing possibilities. Now with the technology of sending mails in no time, you at least get 5-30 seconds to change your mind if the email has been sent to the wrong person.
