Watch Djokovic thank a heckler for free advice after winning despite some atrocious shots
The world number one might have been stretched against Gilles Simmon, but the Djoker still had a killer return after the game.
On Sunday, world number one Novak Djokovic found himself playing... well, quite unlike a world number one. Over a five set epic against Frenchman Gilles Simon, Djokovic was far from his imperious best, making a total of 100 unforced errors, many of them via his favourite drop shot which just wasn't working for him on that particular day.
But then Djokovic is the World No. 1 for a reason. He dug in deep to ultimately win and proceed to the quarter-finals. However, the Serbian was not allowed to forget his bad day: during his post-match interview, a heckler from the stands was quick to remind him of his failings (video above).
The heckler shouted out, "No more drop shots". However Djokovic could not hear him properly, asked the crowd to be silent, and requested the heckler to say it again. When the heckler repeated his suggestion, Djokovic smiled and then said, "I hate to say that, but you are absolutely right. Thanks buddy!".
Djokovic had plenty of other winning shots up his sleeve though. See the highlights below:
