At the 2016 European Figure Skating Championships in Slovakia, the Russian pair of Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, both Olympic champions, decided to introduce a bit of Bollywood to the ice.

For their short programme performance, the pair performed to the song Nagada Sang Dhol from the 2013 Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela (video above).

One look at the performance and you can see that they nailed it. The judges agreed as well – Volosozhar and Trankov were given the highest scores and went on to win the gold at the event, the fourth time they had won gold in the competition.

Of course, skating and Bollywood seem to share a surprisingly good chemistry with each other:
