A street in a Thai town was in for a surprise earlier this week when a man dressed as a friendly neighbourhood “Spiderman” rushed to help after a car accident left a motorcyclist injured.

The incident took place in eastern Phetburi province, where it was captured on CCTV cameras.

The man who offered timely help is actually a popular local flower vendor named Wasan Ketsuwan, also referred to as “Flower Spiderman”. He dons his superhero outfit regularly and sells flowers regularly at the Tha Yang junction.

The video footage showed an accident involving a white pickup truck and a motorcycle whose rider was thrown off his vehicle. Wasan was seen hurrying with his flowers towards the scene at once to check on the motorcyclist.

The clip was posted by Tha Yang police on social media where it got a lot of attention and was picked up by local media. Wason was a folk theatre performer earlier, and has been spotted in several avatars, such as Iron Man and even as a Minion.
