Watch: American TV hosts are fascinated by Hillary Clinton’s newly released book ‘What Happened’
Apparently the children’s version is titled ‘Losie the Pooh’.
Former United States Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s newly released memoir What Happened may have solicited mixed reviews, but it has certainly caught the attention of American television hosts.
The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon (above) opened his monologue by talking about the book. “I heard that it was almost 500 pages long. Of course, the only person with enough time to read it is Hillary Clinton,” he quipped. Fallon even wondered out loud what “notable people” like Vladimir Putin, Barack Obama and Donald Trump would have said had they written the blurbs for the back cover.
Seth Meyers from Late Night resorted to taking a dig at Putin, saying: “Hillary Clinton’s new book titled What Happened was released today, as was Putin’s new book, Me.” Predictably, the audience response was ecstatic.
Jimmy Kimmel revealed that the 512-page long book is only the “adult version”, and went on to present a parody meant for children, titled Losie the Pooh. Kimmel narrated the story to his studio audience in the style of a bedtime tale.
“Once upon a time, not too long ago, November 9th to be precise, Piglet was skipping through the woods when he happened upon his friend, Losie the Pooh (aka Clinton) eating a giant jar of feelings,” he began.
“Trump Tigger” also appears in the book, telling Losie: “I’m gonna make America so great again it’ll be ridickerus! And Eeyore is going to pay for it!”
