Watch: Facebook wants to help you find long term romance. Why isn’t Trevor Noah convinced?
‘Yeah, Facebook really has its finger on the pulse.’
Facebook is expanding into the world of online dating, but Mark Zuckerberg wans relationships, not hook-ups. (He’s looking at you, Tinder.)
The Facebook CEO has announced that his company will soon launch new dating features. Zuckerberg pointed out that two million users on Facebook list themselves as “single”,which means “there’s something to do here”. That’s exactly what caught the attention of The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, who isn’t moved.
“Yay,” he said sarcastically (video above). “Finally, relationships without the hook-ups. Yeah, Facebook really has its finger on the pulse.” Noah isn’t convinced that Zuckerberg is promoting anything out of the ordinary, and in fact he goes on to joke that if Facebook is managing our love lives then it’s only a matter of time before Cambridge Analytica destroys our relationships and Russia begins to intervene.
