A boa constrictor devoured a pigeon on a busy sidewalk in London as startled pedestrians looked on. Videos and pictures of the incident in which the snake was coiled around the bird were posted on social media, and have since gone viral.
According to the BBC, the pigeon was already dead and had been fed to the snake, thought to be an abandoned pet, by onlookers. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals took the reptile to a wildlife centre and asked for information on how it may have come out on the streets.
