Watch: These cats knew there was an earthquake coming
Now everyone wants to adopt them.
Animals are believed to be far more sensitive to movements in the earth’s tectonic plates than humans. So, when Osaka in Japan was hit by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake, the cats at CATchy, a nearby cat-cafe knew it was coming, as the video above shows.
According to Dodo, the cats at the cafe-cum-adoption-centre are all safe. In fact, they have attracted city-wide attention, raising their chances of finding loving homes.
Now we know why the phrase “cat-like reflexes” is so apt.
