Watch: Children review ‘Fear’, Bob Woodward’s book about Donald Trump. It’s giving them nightmares
Children had a few things to say about the book on Stephen Colbert’s talk show.
Veteran Journalist Bob Woodward’s new book Fear: Trump in the White House claims to reveal life inside US President Donald Trump’s White House “with unprecedented detail”. With its chilling narrative, Fear is selling fast and is predicted to be on top of The New York Times bestseller list next month.
While adults ponder over the detail, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert decided to ask children to become book critics for Fear in a segment titled The Reading Rainbow, a parody of the children’s show Reading Rainbow (video above).
The results were entirely satisfactory (even if they were scripted). One child called Trump “an ogre made of cheese”, while another one wanted the mouse from If you Give a Mouse a Cookie to be the American president instead. Their warnings about the nightmares and “day-mares” from the book might be prescient.
