Watch: Weatherman dramatically prepares himself for Hurricane Florence while others casually walk by
A meteorologist from Weather Channel looked like the high-speed wind wouldn’t let him keep his footing.
Hurricane Florence has hit the United States, leading to widespread damage and evacuations. In this grim scenario, a video of a weatherman is providing everyone some much needed comic relief.
A meteorologist and reporter from Weather Channel, Mike Seidel, was reporting live from the ground in North Carolina and it looked like he was having a hard time finding his footing, with the high-speed wind threatening to blow him away.
Viewers might have been convinced, had two men not strolled by behind him, walking without any difficulties. The video was posted online and users began deriding him for his drama.
Weather Channel, however, issued a statement voicing support for Seidel and said, “It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted.”
