Delhi: AIIMS head told to respond in perjury case
The Central Administrative Tribunal on Thursday asked the director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, MC Misra, to respond to a plea by former chief vigilance officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi seeking perjury proceedings against him. Chaturvedi had earlier approached the CAT demanding the work ascribed to the post of Deputy Secretary at AIIMS should be allocated to him. In response to the CAT notice, Misra had said that work allocation of the Health Ministry had been implemented in "letter and spirit". Producing documents to prove otherwise, Chaturvedi had then moved the CAT labeling Misra's claims "blatantly false" and sought perjury proceedings.
