During the year, Leone acted in two Hindi movies – Ek Paheli Leela(rated 3.7/10 on IMDb) and Kuch Kuch Locha Hai (rated 2.8/10 on IMDb).

While Leone retained her lead, Prime Minister Narendra Modi – coming off the 2014 elections in which he ran aggressive digital campaigns – slipped from the second place to 10th.

This year, former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam, who died in July, was the third most-searched personality in India. Modi and Kalam aside, the top 10 searched people in India this year were related to the Hindi film industry.
