ART Sudarshan Shetty at the National Gallery of Modern Art
Mumbai-based artist Sudarshan Shetty’s new solo show Shoonya Ghar (Empty is This House) has been named after and inspired by a work of twelfth-century saint-poet Gorakhnath. The exhibition is made up of sculptural installations, videos and photographs through which Shetty has attempted to recreate his childhood home. There is an entry fee of Rs 10 for Indians and Rs 150 for foreign nationals.

MUSIC TALKS Trick or Treat? at the British Council
This day-long event forms part of the Delhi segment of Medicine Corner, the ongoing multi-city arts project organised by the the British Council and UK medical research charity Wellcome Trust. Trick or Treat? will include a seminar by medical practitioners, scientists and researchers on the future state of healthcare in India; a presentation by German photojournalist Enrico Fabian; and screenings of three short documentaries about alternative healthcare providers such as a street dentist, an ear cleaner and a vitality paste seller and a music video inspired by the project by city-based audio-visual electronic music duo BLOT! aka Avinash Kumar and Gaurav Malaker. The proceedings will end with music performances by BLOT! and a pair of DJ-producers, electronica act Curtain Blue aka Abhishek Bhatia from Delhi and electro-pop artist Your Chin aka Raxit Tewari from Mumbai. WALKS IIC Heritage Walk at India International Centre
As part of the India International Centre’s annual day celebrations, historian Beeba Sobti will take participants on a guided walk through the 54-year-old arts institution, which was designed by American architect Joseph Allen Stein. The walk will touch upon the IIC’s connection with the Montmajour Abbey in southern France and Robben Island in South Africa. There is no entry fee.
