The National Investigation Agency on Saturday arrested nine more suspected terrorists from 13 locations in six different cities. The suspects planned to carry out terror attacks in various parts of the country, reported ANI. The investigative agency also arrested 13 of the 14 suspects detained on Friday, according to a spokesperson from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

On the basis of the information revealed during the interrogation of five suspects detained on Friday, the NIA made fresh arrests in Karnataka (four), Uttar Pradesh (one), Telanagana (two), and Maharashtra (two). According to the report, a preliminary enquiry suggested that the suspects were working on evolving a terror outfit with ideologies similar to the Islamic State.

Security forces on Saturday also busted a Harkat-ul-Mujahideen module in the Sopore town of Jammu and Kashmir. Five suspected terrorists belonging to the militant group were arrested.
