The Union of European Football Associations imposed a "suspended disqualification penalty" and €1,50,000 fine on the Russian Football Union for violence caused by Russian football supporters after Saturday's game against England in the Euro 2016 at Marseille.

"Charges relating to crowd disturbances, use of fireworks and racist behaviour had been brought against the RFU," said UEFA in a statement. "Such suspension will be lifted if incidents of a similar nature [crowd disturbances] happen inside the stadium at any of the remaining matches of the Russian team during the tournament."

Group of Russians fans are being deported from France because of repeated scenes of violence, reported the BBC. The tournament has been overshadowed with reports of fans violence, with groups of Russians reportedly charging English fans during the match.
