Football: Italian World Cup winner Gianluca Zambrotta appointed coach of Delhi Dynamos
The team was earlier managed by the Dutch Harm van Veldhoven and high-profile Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos.
Thirty-nine year old Gianluca Zambrotta, who won the 2006 World Cup with Italy, was appointed the coach of Indian Super League franchise Delhi Dynamos on Tuesday.
Before retiring, Zambrotta played as a defender for Italy and made 98 appearances, scoring two goals. He spent a majority of his playing career at Italian club giants Juventus for whom he made more than 200 appearances.
The Dynamos were previously managed by the Dutch Harm van Veldhoven and high-profile Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos. Under Carlos, they finished fourth in the 2015 season and qualified for the semi-finals, where they were defeated by FC Goa.
