Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati is like a dog that chases speeding motorcycles in lanes, but steps back when the vehicle stops, according to former vice president of Bharatiya Janata Party's Uttar Pradesh unit, Dayashankar Singh. The expelled BJP leader said the former chief minister, her family members and aides have "minted crores through dubious deals", The Times of India reported.

After calling her a "greedy woman", "deceitful" and a "coward" on camera, the senior leader later denied making the comments, reported Deccan Chronicle. "It's Mayawati and her party members who call us dogs instead." he said, adding that the BSP leader was "corrupt to the core".

In July, Singh was expelled from BJP for six years after he likened Mayawati to a sex worker. He had said, "Even a prostitute fulfills her commitment after she is paid. But Mayawati sells party tickets to anyone who pays her the highest amount. She has become worse than a prostitute and abandons the ideals of Kanshi Ram." He was also booked under the Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe Act for making the remarks against the leader.
