E-commerce and digital wallet company Paytm has claimed that 15 of its clients had cheated the firm of Rs 6.15 lakh, PTI reported on Friday. The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a first information report against the Delhi-based customers.

Legal Manager M Sivakumar has alleged that there have been 48 cases where customers have received refunds even though their orders had been successfully delivered. The company incurred a loss of Rs 6.15 lakh because of these transactions, he added.

The FIR registered by the CBI alleges that the clients had accepted the money “illegally”. Several unidentified officials of Paytm’s parent company, One97 Communications, have been named in the complaint. The accused are residents of South Delhi, the agency said.
