Delhi Police and Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force have made further inroads into the investigation of an alleged gang operating to help Staff Selection Examination (SSC) candidates to cheat via remote viewing software. Four more persons were arrested by Delhi Police on Monday, three of whom were sent to judicial custody and one to police custody. Police had initially arrested four accused last week.

The police claim that the gang would pay the owners of examinations centres, which makes the police believe that the scam had a large-scale penetration. Later, the accused managed to procure one examination centre of their own.

The police is still trying to understand the extent of the scam and how many candidates the gang helped in the SSC examination.

The accused arrested on Monday were identified as Anup Rao, Neeraj Sharma, Dural Ali, and Kushal Negi. They provided candidates with internet connection which was used to download the screen sharing application.
