Maharashtra State Board for Higher Secondary Education (MSBHSE) is expected to declare the result of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or Class 12 exam sometime in the last week of May, and that of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Class 10 exam in mid-June, according to officials.

The HSC 2018 exam was conducted from March 1st to March 20th and saw a total of around 14,85,000 students participate, while the SSC exam began on February 21st and ended on March 24th and accommodated a student volume of 17,85,000. In terms of enrollment, the MSBHSE is the second largest educational board in India after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Following instances of paper leaks on WhatsApp in 2017, the Board took measures to safeguard questions papers. The Board conducted workshops across schools to ensure that no mobile phones were allowed in the examination centres. The Board also added more members to their flying squads for surprise checks at examination centres.
