The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the fourth round of seat allotment for JEE (Advanced) candidates. The JoSAA fourth round of admission was started on July 12th at around 4 p.m. Candidates who have registered to participate in the JoSAA 2018 counselling and seat allocation process can check the official website, josaa.nic.in.

JoSAA had recently released a rescheduled counselling timeline for JEE (Advanced) candidates as the authority had to hold the release of third round of seat allotments due to the proceedings in the Madras High Court. According to original schedule, the third round was supposed to be released on July 6th, but was released on July 10th instead.

Admissions based on the results of the fourth round of JEE (Advanced) seat allotment will be done today, July 13th, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on July 14th from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. The fifth round of seat allocation will be released on July 14th at 4 pm.

Candidates whose name features in today’s allotment list can download the “Provisional Seat Allotment letter” and e-challan. The e-challan can be used to pay the seat acceptance fee, which comes to Rs.45,000 (Rs.20,000 for reserved categories).

How to check JoSAA 2018 fourth allotment results

  1. Log on to the official JoSAA website.    
  2. Click on the link for ‘Round 4: View Allotment Result and Pay Acceptance Fee’.    
  3. Alternatively, click on this direct link to access the candidate login page.
  4. Enter your JEE (Main) Roll number and password and click on ‘Login’.
  5. Check whether your name features on the list and take the necessary next steps for admissions.

The JoSAA will be conducting seven round of counselling for admissions to IIT colleges until July 19th, after which it will conduct the counselling for NIT systems. The JoSAA conducts counselling for candidates interested in joining any of the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other-GFTIs (within the purview of JoSAA 2018).
