Xiaomi announced their latest addition to their Mijia platform in China, the Mijia Quartz Watch. The product is a hybrid model which sports a classic watch look along with limited smart features. It has been priced in China at RMB 349 (approximately Rs 3,500) and will go on sale on July 17th, NDTV Gadgets reported.

The analogue 40-mm watch has two dials, one to show the time and a smaller one with pedometer that indicates the number of steps taken. The watch also features a Bluetooth (version 4.0) which will have to be paired with the mobile app to perform functions like automatic time adjustment, set call and interval reminders or set an alarm clock.

The watch, apart from banking on the classic watch looks, is also equipped with a CR2430 battery that the company claims does not need to be charged as frequently as other smart watches. The body is waterproof at up to 30 meters and users can set 10 alarm reminders for the watch. The watch also offers vibrate-without-ringing feature.

The watch will be will be available in White, Grey and Black colour options and sold at Tmall, the Mi Home app, and Mi online store simultaneously. There’s no word on its international availability as of yet.
