Huawei, the Chinese telecommunications company, is expected to launch a new smartphone in India on July 24th. The company has sent ‘block your date’ invites which read as ‘#No Ordinary Beauty’ but does not give further details about the smartphone, a report by NDTV gadgets said.

It is largely speculated that the smartphone maker could launch Honor 9i (2018) or Honor Play in India. The launch event invite by Honor has the words ‘No Ordinary Beauty’ in Blue and Purple colours. Meanwhile, a GIF shared by the company comes with two ‘O’s hinting that the upcoming handset might feature a dual camera setup, the report added.

The Honor 9i (2018) was launched in China as an upgrade of the Indian variant which was released earlier in October 2017. The handset was unveiled in China in April this year. However, as per a report from last month, Honor could rename the Honor 9i (2018) smartphone as Honor 9X in the country.

The flagship model comes equipped with GPU Turbo Tech, which is a hardware-software integration that the company claims can deliver faster performance while reducing power consumption. The 5.84-inch full HD smartphone is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC and boasts of a 13MP + 2MP dual-rear cameras and 16MP front camera.

The smartphone is currently priced at CNY 1,399 (approximately Rs.14,400) for the 64GB storage variant, while its 128GB option is available with a price tag of CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,400) in China.
