Maharashtra State Council of Examination is expected to release answer keys for the Maharashtra Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET or MAHATET) 2018 soon, according to the Indian Express. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their MAHATET 2018 answer keys on the official website, mahatet.in, once they are released.

The 2018 Maharashtra TET examination was conducted on July 15th in two sessions. The application process was conducted from April 25th to May 22nd and admit cards for the exam were released on July 2nd.

The MAHATET is conducted in three languages: Marathi, English and Urdu. The Maharashtra TET exam checks maths, science and language skills of aspiring teachers. Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% in the exam and the certificate is valid for seven years.

Candidates can reappear in the exams to improve their scores. The test is mandatory for teachers with a B.Ed or D.Ed, without which they are not eligible for a permanent job.

How to check for Maharashtra TET answer keys 2018

  1. Log on to the official MAHATET website.    
  2. Click on the link for the 2018 answer keys for the various papers.
  3. A PDF document with the answer keys will open, which can be printed out.

According to the Indian Express, around 1.6 lakh candidates had appeared for the TET in all three language mediums in 2017. The pass percentages have been poor through the years for the exam, with just 4.27% clearing Paper I and 2.30% clearing Paper II in 2017.
