SSC Recruitment 2018: Around 55,000 SSC GD Constable vacancies released, apply at ssc.nic.in
The Staff Selection Commission has released a notification for the GD constable vacancies in the Employment Newspaper this week.
The Staff Selection Commission has released a notification for vacancies of 54,953 positions for GD Constable in the latest edition of the Employment Newspaper. Candidates who want to apply for the SSC GD Constable positions have to visit the official SSC website, ssc.nic.in, to apply.
The SSC will start accepting applications for its GD Constable vacancies from today, July 21st. However, the link for the SSC constable recruitment has not been activated yet, but it is expected to be made live shortly. The last date to apply for the SSC GD Constable positions is August 20th, 2018.
The minimum qualifications for candidates interested in applying for the positions is a 10th class pass certificate. The minimum age limit of the candidates is 19 years of age and the maximum limit is 23 years. There are relaxations in maximum age limit for candidates from reserved categories.
The commission is expected to fill the posts of Constable in BSF, ITBPF, CRPF, NIA, SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and CISF across the country. A report by the Financial Express states that those selected through the SSC GD Constable 2018 recruitment drive will be in charge of escort or guard. Their duties are generally assigned by the SHO and they are supposed to play a role in absence of Assistant Sub-Inspectors and Sub-inspectors.
How to apply for SSC GD Constable 2018 recruitment
- Log on to the official SSC website.
- Click on the ‘Apply’ tab.
- Click on the ‘Constable-GD’ section.
- Follow the instructions, pay the application fee of Rs.100 and submit the application.
Candidates applying for the SSC GD Constable posts will have to undergo a physical examination, a written examination and a medical test as part of the recruitment process. The written exam will be a 100-mark objective-type question paper testing candidates on their proficiency on general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and awareness, mathematics, and language.
