Indian Bank has released notification for its PO positions, as part of the bank 2018 recruitment drive. Indian Bank has invited interested graduates to apply for their one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course. The course is aims to select 417 candidates through this three-step examination procedure and successful candidates are assured full-fledged Banking career with Indian Bank as a Probationary Officer.

Online registrations have been thrown open and interested candidate can now register for the Indian Bank PO posts. The last date to apply online is August 27th. The Indian Bank PO recruitment 2018 is a three-stage process, of which two stages – the Preliminary and Main exams – are held via online mode. Candidates who clear these must attend a personal interview.

How to apply for Indian Bank PO 2018 positions

  1. Visit Indian Bank’s official site.
  2. Navigate to the careers section, which is found at the very top of the website.
  3. Click on the link that reads “apply online for PO on boarding”.
  4. You’ll need to create a login to apply for the Indian Bank PO posts.

Applicants are advised to check the official notification from the bank for announcement regarding Preliminary exam call letters. The date has been tentatively scheduled as after September 24th and the Indian Bank PO Prelim exam 2018 will be held on October 6th, 2018. The results of said exam are expected to be declared soon after, on October 17th.

The detailed Indian bank notification for its 2018 PO recruitment drive suggests that call letters for the PO Main exam will be sent to candidates on October 22nd, for the examination to be held on November 4th. The date for personal interviews has not been revealed and is expected to be intimated to candidates at a later date.

From the total available vacancies, seats have been allocated for the reserved categories applicants and persons with disabilities in accordance with government regulation. Out of the 417 vacancies for Indian Bank PO positions, 62 are reserved for SC candidates, 31 for ST candidates, and 112 for OBC candidates. The remaining 212 are for general category candidates.

Pre-Examination Training will be arranged by the Bank for above candidates along with minority category applicants at Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Vijayawada, Lucknow, Jaipur and Bhopal.

The one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course will be conducted at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB), that has been set up jointly by Indian Bank and Manipal Global Education Service Pvt Ltd.
