It’s that time of the year again and another special-edition car has been rolled out. A special edition Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been introduced and it is based on the lower-spec LXi/LDi trims. It is available in both petrol and diesel options, Autocar India is reporting.

The 2018 special edition of the Swift Dzire boasts added features such as front power windows, wheel covers and rear parking sensors as standard. Additionally, it also gets a Bluetooth-enabled two-speaker music system and remote central locking as part of the special-edition package.

Introduction of auto gear shift technology was the highlight of this vehicle when launched, whereas the standard equipment on the LXi/LDi trims includes ABS and dual front airbags, along with a child seat restraint system in place. That the special-edition variant is based on the base-spec Dzire suggests Maruti’s attempts to push sales of lower trims of the car, albeit with added equipment.

Prices of the special edition Swift Dzire petrol start at Rs 5.56 lakh, while the diesel variant starts at a lakh more. At this price, the model is roughly Rs.30,000 pricier than the standard Dzire LXi and LDi models, the report adds.
