Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has launched their latest handset, the Vivo Y81, in India. With the launch of the Vivo Y81, Vivo is aiming to cater to the competitive lower mid-range smartphone segment in the country. In June, the phone was launched in a few markets abroad. Its notable features include the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and a tall 6.22-inch HD+ display.

The budget smartphone market has cut-throat competition at the moment, with phones such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, and the Honor 9N, and it’s difficult for newer entrants to undercut the established competitors in this segment. The stand-out element of the Vivo Y81 is that it sports an iPhone X-like notch and a bezel-less design on the front and a 3,260mAh battery.

Vivo Y81 price

Vivo has already started retailing the Vivo Y81 in India and the phone is listed for the price of Rs. 12,999. The smartphone is up for grabs on the Vivo online store, Flipkart and Amazon. At its price, the Vivo Y81 has been positioned in the heavily competitive mid-range segment. The smartphone has been made available in Black and Gold colour options, and Amazon and Flipkart have both listed exchange offers on the device.
