Xiaomi has introduced a Plus version of its recently-announced Android tablet with the moniker Mi Pad 4 Plus. The bigger-sized tablet shares the core hardware of the original Mi Pad 4 with few upgraded specs. The larger 10.1-inch display and powerful battery are the key highlights of this new offering. But the Mi Pad 4 Plus will be available in only LTE option and not in Wi-Fi variant.

Just like the Mi Pad 4, the Mi Pad 4 Plus is also exclusive for the China market for now. The Mi Pad 4 Plus will be available for buying in China from August 16, with no word on its global availability. Here is a closer look at the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus and everything that it brings to the table.

The chipset that is Snapdragon 660 , the 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front snapper, an all-metal body with an upgraded AI features have been retained on this Plus version. But the 8620mAh battery should definitely up the charge life of this new variant along with better viewing experience, courtesy the larger 10.1-inch full HD screen.

Mi Pad 4 Plus specifications

The Mi Pad 4 Plus is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clubbed with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB internal storage options. In the camera department, the Mi Pad 4 Plus comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with HDR and 1080p video recording and on the front it gets a 5-megapixel camera with AI face unlock feature. Battery being the highlight here, it is backed by a massive 8620mAh battery and charges over USB Type-C.

Pricing

The Mi Pad 4 Plus has been launched in China at a starting price of CNY 1,899 which roughly translates to Rs 19,269. This is for the base 4GB RAM and 64GB variant of the Mi Pad 4 Plus. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version will meanwhile be available for CNY 2,099 which roughly translates to Rs 21,313. The Mi Pad 4 Plus will be available for buying in China from August 16 in two colours – black and gold.
