Since Friday, #ExplainAFilmPlotBadly has been exploding on top of the Twitter trends. This hilarious hashtag has movie geeks attempting to summarise popular movies in the worst way possible, leaving few clues and letting others jump in to guess which movie they're talking about. Broken down into simple phrases, the plots tend to sound hilariously absurd.

This newspaper blurb on a plot of The Wizard of Oz appears to be the inspiration behind the hashtag.
