"Certain incidents were reported in some highly-congested blocks of Trilokpuri," said the Delhi Police in a statement. "Police had to use the required minimum force to deal with the situation and we have apprehended over 60 miscreants for rioting and arson. Five persons are reported to be injured due to gunshot injury."
The Rapid Action Force was deployed in the area and prohibitory orders were issued to prevent large groups from gathering. Police vans, water cannons and patrolling Police Control Rooms have also been stationed in the area.
