FILM Celebrating Habitat - The Real, The Virtual & The Imaginary at National Gallery of Modern Art
The National Gallery of Modern Art along with the Ministry of Culture will host the premiere of this documentary about eminent architect Balkrishna Doshi, which is based on the retrospective of his work at the NGMA in 2014. There is no entry fee.

MUSIC Lee Alison Sibley and Claire Tynte-Irvine at India International Centre

ART TALKS Drawing The Line at Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan
Illustrator Priya Kuriyan and graphic novelist Vishwajyoti Ghosh will lead a discussion about the power of political art with nine of the 18 female artists who contributed to Drawing The Line – Indian Women Fight Back. FILM Fandry at India Habitat Centre
The India Habitat Centre Film Club will host a screening of the award-winning 2013 Marathi film, which is about a blossoming romance between a Dalit boy and an upper-caste girl. The screening will be followed by a discussion about the movie with the Indian Express’s film critic Shubhra Gupta. THEATRE The Mahabharata of Women at Shri Ram Centre
Directed by KS Rajendran, this play is based on an old Tamil legend about a young woman, a victim of honour killing at the hands of her brothers, who uses her dying breath to curse the descendants of her clan. The story is told from the clanswomen’s point of view and through surreal interactions with female characters of the Mahabharata such as Kunti and Draupadi. Tickets priced at Rs 100 and Rs 300 per head are being sold on Bookmyshow.com.

ART Cosmology to Cartography: A Cultural Journey of Indian Maps at the National Museum
An exhibition of vintage Indian maps sourced from the Kalakriti Archives in Hyderabad that includes both cosmological representations of the universe and cartographic depictions of the country. On Sunday, September 6, at 11 am, Prshant Lahoti, the director of the Kalakriti Archives, will take viewers on a walk-through of the show.
