CULTURE Apni Basti Mela at DDA Park
The mela held every year to showcase the art, culture and architecture of the 700-year-old Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti will have stalls selling traditional arts, crafts and food; heritage and food walks every day at 9.30 am and 4 pm; cooking classes conducted by chef Jawed Qureshi; qawwali concerts and plays. ART Kesa-Vinyas: Hairstyles in Indian Art at Red Fort
This exhibition of rare photographs and sculptures by the Archeological Survey of India, organised to mark World Heritage Week, showcases the hairdos on women in sculptures from the Harappan era through the medieval centuries. There is an entry fee of Rs 10 per head for Indians and Rs 150 per head for foreign nationals to the Red Fort.

ART Seon/Zen Buddhist Paintings and Scrolls at the National Museum
The Korean Cultural Centre will showcase a collection of Seon or Zen Buddhist paintings and scrolls by Korean and Japanese artists. Tickets to the museum are priced at Rs 20 per head for Indians and Rs 650 per head (inclusive of the audio tour) for foreign nationals.

BOOKS ILF Samanvay 2015 at India Habitat Centre
This edition of the Indian Languages Festival, which explores the "insider/outsider" identity of the Indian writer and reader, will focus on regional languages such as Bengali, Dogri, Marathi and Tamil. The events include discussions by Tibetan poets (Inside the Exile: An Encounter with Tibet in India, Friday at 11 am); on the challenges of Indian languages (Breaking Middle Ground: Translatorspeak! on Friday at 2 pm); and conversations on censorship by Tamil thinkers, publishers and translators (The Bound Word: On Creativity and Censorship on Saturday at 2 pm). ART Not My Life: Artists Respond at Alliance Francaise

PHOTOGRAPHY Origins: A Photographic Tale of Relations Between the UK and India at the British Council
This exhibition is the culmination of PhotoUK-India, a collaboration between the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts and the British Council to promote the work of photographers from both countries. The images, which also form part of a publication called Origins, bring together narrative-based photographs “about family formations, histories, travel, metropolitanism, journalism”.
