Last year, Twitter brought back the instructional charts which are a staple of most school children in the country, but with some adroit photoshopping skills turned them into a funny battle of the ideological kind. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi's die-hard supporters have come to be known as Bhakts for their blind hero-worship, those on the other side, in turn, have acquired the label of Adarsh Liberals, for their professing to be the role models for a liberal world view, giving rise to a battle of the memes that has never really faded from the limelight.

With Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal on the horizon, the battle is raging once again on the social media. Take this poster mocking the Adarsh Liberals' supposed disdain for Hindu festivals.

This tweet was only the latest in a series of missives that both sides have fired at each other in a battle that began last year. First came the definitional chart.

And then came the counter, painting the world and the BJP and Modi supporters in equally broad terms. #AdarshLiberals came up with their own definitional charts and tags for #AdarshBhakt and #AdarshSanghi.

The battle was soon joined well and proper and everything was fair game as people took to photoshopping with a vengeance. The meme, clearly, lives on.
