FILM Animal Human Nature Continuum at Osianama at Liberty
Arts organisation Osians is screening a series of movies that touch upon the relationship between man and nature. Among the films that will be screened this concluding weekend are Frozen Planet – Autumn, an episode of David Attendborough’s 2011 mini series about nature (Friday at 6 pm); Bhutanese director Khyentse Norbu’s 1999 Tibetan language film The Cup/Phorpa in which two football-crazy Buddhist monks try to get a TV for their monastery in order to watch the 1998 FIFA World Cup (Saturday at 7 pm); and the closing film of the series, Colombian director Ciro Guerra’s 2015 movie Embrace of the Serpent, in which an Amazonian shaman travels on two separate expeditions with scientists searching for a mythic plant (Sunday at 8.30 pm). THEATRE White Rabbit Red Rabbit at The Cuckoo Club By The Hive
