DANCE MUSIC THEATRE The Park’s New Festival at the NCPA Experimental Theatre, G5A and Sitara Studio
The tenth edition of the annual festival organisation by Chennai-based arts organisation Prakriti Foundation will feature three performances. Manipuri dancer Surjit Nongmeikapam will stage Nerves, a piece of contemporary choreography on Friday at the National Centre for the Performing Arts’ Experimental Theatre. Norwegian jazz-fusion band the Lelo Nika Trio, led by Serbian-Romanian accordion player Lelo Nika, will perform with Chennai-based Indian classical music flautist Shashank Subramanyam on Saturday at the G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture. Theatre actor Yuki Ellias will perform the solo act Elephant in the Room on Sunday at Sitara Studio. The performance is about a young boy who has been given the head of an elephant.
